In these time frames a small amount of daily volatility is irrelevant compared to the long term accrued gains they can make. The people being “picked off” as you put it really are NOT the little guys; but the little guys are the ones who read the articles and boost the ad revenues by doing so, and to attract them – just as in politics – appeal to their sense of greed, indignation or the idea that there’s a conspiracy or cartel against them and the deck’s stacked and you’ll always get a shedload of readers hanging on your every word. |
