I lived in Britain eight years. The only (north) American car I saw in that whole time was a clapped out Dodge used to advertise The Blues Brothers. I return to Britain every year. I NEVER see any American cars. Same for France and Holland. On the other hand, I see (north) American cars on the road every day in Tokyo. Why does Japan alone get pressured to take (north) American clunkers? (Of course, I see and drive Fords in Britain, but those cars are very European vehicles made in Britain, not North American gas guzzlers with mushy suspension and slush box transmissions.) |
