This is the kitchen of my 18th-century stone farmhouse in Leversham, right in the middle of the Yorkshire Moors. We are 950 feet above sea level, and our next hill to the east is Russia – or that’s what it feels like. It gets blooming cold; it is very exposed and the summers are short. But the animals’ health is very good. |
