The series’ ‘history for YA-addicted girls’ approach to the material has already enraged critics, with one even accusing Reign of ‘ruining America’ (too late). If anything, it’s a victim of bad timing. When she’s emoting at Francis (Toby Regbo), her betrothed, it’s hard not to focus on the wispy strands of facial hair arranged across his face to give his delicate features the hint of arrogance.
