It was very much in with slower songs, soulful moods, poetic lyrics, beats that must almost be described as hip hop, and falsetto harmonies aplenty. The result is easily the best album the band have made since their record-breaking debut, the album that, at the time, was the fastest-selling debut in British history. AM is as elegantly cool as its title.
