Regal Entertainment and NCM Fathom Events announced Friday that some 200 theaters will be hosting midnight showings of the made-for-TV movie "Sharknado" on August 2. The film, which aired on SyFy earlier this month, swept through Twitter and social media, as celebrities and journalists obsessed over its ridiculous concept – a tornado blows sharks through the streets of Los Angeles – and its throwback, C-list cast, which includes Tara Reid and Ian Ziering. |
