Pre-breakfast, my ideal is watching Countdown (who knew it was repeated at silly o’clock in the morning?). This allows me to oggle Rachel Riley, while my geeky 10-year-old does mental arithmetic. But the five-year old (the last of them to wake) shrieks: “I HATE Countdown!” before she has even got to the bottom of the stairs. This puts an end to both our fun. |
