In the last few months the ads have become packed so tight, that the time to check my mail via desktop Yahoo has extended to the point where I don’t check mail as often. It is a delicate balance between getting more ad revenue and running your customers off. There might be a little opportunity to optimize their advertising to content ratio, but when you increase the ad placement too much it becomes a zero sum game: you can have more ads with less views, or less ads with more views. |
