The military itself sets the standard for what is service connected and generally it is what happens to you while you are in service, whatever that is. Even drug addiction, alcoholism, which one does to himself, and things like heart disease and diabetes are service-connected if it occurs while one is on active duty, did not pre-exist, and was not first diagnosed after discharge. |
