The survey of close to 400 firms across the industrial and service sectors came in at minus 16.5% in July, up slightly from minus 19.6% in June but still below zero, the line that divides positive from negative expectations. Stronger expectations on home-appliance sales, possibly a reflection of an upshift in purchases of apartments so far this year, were a key contributor to the rise.
