How long have you lived here? http://thumbzilla.fun/ thumbzilla.com  In 1972 when Ceylon became a republic, it rechristened itself Sri Lanka and attempted to shake off its British colonial legacy. The government set about nationalising more than 500 mostly British-owned tea, rubber and coconut estates, one of which was owned by John Shelton Agar that had been sold to the Sri Lankan Perera family in 1943. Following the acquisition, the owner was left with only a modest acreage for personal enterprise and yet during the years that followed, as nationalised estates continued to put in lacklustre performances, they once again returned to private hands.
